Yestimun® stimulates the immune cells in the intestine to trigger a non-specific or also a specific immune response that activates the so-called scavenger cells (macrophages) in the Peyer’s patches. These scavenger cells begin with the destruction of pathogens and activate further defence cells such as B- and T-cells or dendritic cells, for instance Yestimun® therefore strengthens the immune system and prepares it so that it can respond quickly in the event of an infection.

Taking Yestimun®.
Yestimun® can be taken preventatively to protect against infections and diseases. In the case of existing infections or diseases, it contributes to faster healing.
Yestimun® can be taken at any time of the day. Taking it regularly at the same time is recommended, e.g. twice a day at breakfast and lunch, for instance [Graubaum et al. (2012), FNS 3, 738–746 / Auinger et al. (2013), Eur J Nutr Vol 52, Issue 8, pp. 1913-1918].

In which end products can Yestimun® be used?
The fine, light Yestimun® Beta-Glucan powder is tasteless and odour-free. For that reason, the dispersible ingredient can easily be used in a wide range of dry or even liquid product formulations. Because of this, the dispersible ingredient can be easily used in diverse dry or even liquid product formulations. Its application areas extend from food & beverages to sport & nutritional supplements.
Pursuant to its European novel food status, Yestimun®’s declaration is ‘Beta-glucans from yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae)’. However, the declaration can vary depending on the country.

The recommended daily dose for adults and children over the age of 12 is 250 mg Yestimun®. In the event of colds or illnesses with similar symptoms, consuming up to 1,275 mg (pursuant to Directive (EU) 2017/2078 on novel food) yeast beta-glucan is safe in order to better support your immune system.

Yestimun® is a Leiber GmbH product and is produced in Germany.
Leiber uses the Megazyme method [Megazyme K-EBHLG 02/17] to measure the β-1,3-1,6-D-glucan content of Yestimun®. The enzymatic method is designated in the FCC (Food Chemical Codex) as the official method for quantifying yeast beta-glucans. The Megazyme test kit involves a validated method.
Yes, Yestimun® is stable. The dry powder has a minimum shelf life of five years as of the production date. Yestimun® easily withstands the conditions of food processes and its efficacy remains unchanged.
